Class registration
BEGINS: MARCH 10th.
This is free to all
Southeast Michigan Performance Cluster employees. You must have Manager
approval to take classes ON THE CLOCK (you must utilize the computer in your
daily postal duties to take classes on the clock). OFF the Clock classes
are available to every employee.

There will be no classes
during July and August, per the usual, because of summer/vacations, etc.
Classes will begin again in September so plan your Computer classes accordingly.

The computer class schedules for April through June ’08
have arrived and are posted.
2.
Computer Classes are held ON and OFF the clock.

On the clock classes are 6 ½ hours (including ½ hour lunch).

Midnight classes at the Plant are split over two nights – 3 hours each)

Off the clock classes are 4 hours. These classes are FREE to all
Postal Employees.

For our midnight/afternoon people, we have 9:00am-1:00pm classes at the Plant –
others who have this day NS are also welcome to register/attend.

The computer classes are held in Sandusky, the Flint MPO, the Minnesota
Building in Troy and at the Royal Oak Plant in Troy.

For ON the clock – you MUST obtain your
Manager/Postmaster’s approval – the registration form is available on the
Southeast Michigan (Internal) website.

For OFF the clock – you can call the PEDC at 248-524-3707
to register for classes.

The OFF the clock schedule is also posted on the Southeast Michigan
LiteBlue site, which is accessible from your home computer, just type
liteblue.usps.gov in the address bar and log on.
We will be upgrading our classes to the 2003 version
of the Microsoft Office suite, an updated version of Computer Basics, Internet
versions 6 and 7 and will be offering Vista and 2007 versions, also.
